HCM Live!

Live!’s 1.60.350 - Going back in time

Here’s what’s changed in version 1.60.350

⚠️ Please be advised that there is a period of scheduled maintenance approximately two weeks after this update is released. This period will be very brief, but will require all Live! downloads to be updated immediately to allow for accurate flight tracking. If you are flying/plan to fly during the period of 23/6/2026 2100 UTC to 23/6/2026 2130 UTC, make sure that you are manually tracking flights outside of the Live! app, as the system will automatically log you out and require you to update to the next version. This update to Live! brings more flexible post-flight data entry, improvements to battery efficiency with GPS accuracy controls and a range of bugfixes and tweaks. What’s new? Compatibility with iOS 26 - 1.60 makes sure that we support newer and future devices properly, along with iOS 26’s new requirements for device permissions, which may mean you will be prompted to allow Live! certain access to device-level functions again. Navigate backwards in post-flight data entry - you can now redo or overwrite previous entries in the post-flight pages before you sign the flight off for upload to the HCM system. This means you can now correct mistakes or add additional details once you’ve completed the step. Create re-survey events with comments on the go - you can now set new survey expiry dates from Live! which syncs with the HLS Directory’s waypoints along with comments to explain each re-survey. Dial in the accuracy of your device GPS with a slider - in the app settings, you can now set your device to poll your GPS location with more or less accuracy, allowing you to choose between better flight tracks or performance/battery efficiency. What’s fixed? We’ve made it clearer what the issue is when logging in fails - in preparation for an authentication change, we’ve made these notices clearer. Please make sure you’re aware of the above maintenance period as a result of this. We also tweaked: Added the operator name of the account that’s currently logged in is now displayed in the app. Larger +/- edit buttons in the manual timings page. Backgrounds and other materials have been simplified to reduce app size. Fixed an annoyance that would consistently ask the user to allow locations permissions. Fixed a problem where the crew search bar wouldn’t reset after selecting a user. Removed unused motion detection functionality. If you have any problems yourself as a result of this update, or have anything to report or suggest in general - submit a ticket for our team here .

HCM v26.5.1 - Improved Mission Analysis

Here’s what’s changed in version 26.5.1

In HCM’s second update of May 2026, we’ve given Mission Analysis a big upgrade, improved the efficiency of fetching flights, rostered duties and recalculating Qualification Groups and addressed various reported issues. What’s new? Mission Analysis gets a boost of features, speed and usability & adds handy shortcuts - the Mission Analysis tool now acts a more comprehensive flight lookup, allowing you to filter by all of flight properties, pilots and more as well as existing Mission Data - which now renders options in a smarter way based on your Mission Definitions. Flights will now load 50-70% faster, as well as giving you the option to jump directly to the flight itself if you need to make edits. Load your roster more efficiently and much faster - the roster itself will now fetch duties faster based on your selected User Groups, and unload deselected groups in the Pivot View to save memory and increase performance. Mission photos & CofG changes - this moves photos out of the Mission Analysis results and into the individual flight pages, and makes sure to only render CofG data when there is associated information to fetch. What’s fixed? Redundant recencies are now automatically purged - when making changes to a flight’s registration or other properties, the dynamic recencies that can be edited now flush out old entries to prevent false histories. We also tweaked: The “Duty Code” Pivot View in the Roster now displays up to two User Codes, with the ability to expand the list to see all visible crew members - improving performance when loaded in. Lifetime checks will now match the behaviour of standard checks when they are awaiting approval by OPS. Updated support email to “support@quantavia.net” when encountering errors. Recalculating Qualifcation Groups when changes are made is now more efficient. Fixed a problem where users could not resubmit a check revalidation when a submission had been rejected earlier that same day. Fixed a problem where a rejected/deleted expiry date would appear when revalidating a check. Fixed an issue where alerts would sometimes appear underneath other elements on the page. Removed the Heatmap Generator function as the underlying library became deprecated. If you have any problems yourself as a result of this update, or have anything to report or suggest in general - submit a ticket for our team here .

Beta’s 0.6.0 - Do you Notice anything new?

Here’s what’s changed in version 0.6.0

With this update, the beta system introduces Notices, easier navigation and streamlined access to our features that are ready for users to interact with. Additionally, various consistency, interface, security and stability tweaks were addressed as we start the next phases of development. What’s new? Manage Notices in the new platform, the new home of HCM’s “Documents” functionality - in this update, we’ve introduced the ability to view, manage, create, edit and delete Notices that are cross-compatible with the HCM system. You can search, filter and sort your new and existing notices from one home inside the Repository - making fast changes through a new interface. Added various new components and styles across the system - some new components, controls and layouts have been created to keep things consistent when you’re using the new platform. ‘Experimental’ features and simplified access - features that have been released as part of the beta but require additional work are now flagged as ‘experimental’ to make sure select users with access can get to new features without confusion. We also tweaked: Navigating around the system is now clearer and faster, as well as including a revamped login page. Various security and stability fixes. Fixed responsive quirks at some zoom levels for different layouts. Revoked global access to features that are not yet in development. If you have any problems yourself as a result of this update, or have anything to report or suggest in general - submit a ticket for our team here .

HCM v26.4.0 - Quickly update Roster Duties

Here’s what’s changed in version 26.4.0

In HCM’s first official update of April (and of 2026 (and of the decade)), we’ve addressed some quirks reported from our recent roster publishing changes and introduced some handy functionality to edit past and future duties from the Roster. What’s new? ‘Quick Edit’ and ‘Go to Duty’ shortcut in the Roster tool - you can now update a duty’s times (depending on the duty’s type) directly from the Roster by selecting ‘Quick Edit’ and saving, which will automatically update ruleset calculations. To make more in-depth edits, select ‘Go to Duty’ and take a shortcut to the full duty editing page in a new tab, with your changes automatically taking effect for that duty. Access both of these buttons by clicking on any duty in the Roster to view its details panel (in some cases, this new behaviour will only appear after performing a hard refresh - you can do this on most Windows browsers by holding [CTRL] + [F5], on Safari with [Shift] + the Reload button in the toolbar, and in Chrome or Firefox for Mac holding [CMD] + [Shift] + [R]). What’s fixed? Duties created by crew members are automatically published - if your account’s operator settings allow, any duties created by crew members that were not originally rostered, or are in the future are now automatically published and visible to themselves through the Personal Dashboard, or other crew member’s personal roster (again, if operator settings allow). User groups edits now correctly update the visible qualifications on the user profile - when editing a user’s groups from their profile, the tabs containing their qualifications will now accurately update. If you have made changes to user groups in recent weeks, you may want to check that their qualification group tabs reflect their assigned user groups - if not, re-assigning will now refresh these tabs. We also tweaked: Changed wording for the property setting ‘Permitted’ ranks for a particular Duty Template’s definition. Fixed a problem where the ‘Check Effective From’ date’s format would be incorrect when saved. Fixed a problem where email reminders would still be sent for new checks and recency items even if the option is unchecked on creation. If you have any problems yourself as a result of this update, or have anything to report or suggest in general - submit a ticket for our team here .

Quantavia gains Cyber Essentials Plus certification

This month, Quantavia gained CE+ certification.

Quantavia in January 2026, gained Cyber Essentials Plus certification after an independent assessment by Bulletproof (an IASME approved provider). The certification covers our entire business, products and operations. Having regained the basic certification in November, we wanted to demonstrate assurance that the measures we’ve introduced during the last 12 months in order to improve our cyber security could stand up to scrutiny. Putting Quantavia through Plus shows to our customers that not only do we say we’ve implemented improved cyber security measures in the business, but we have proven that we’ve put in place effective controls to maintain a reasonable degree of cyber security. What is Cyber Essentials? Cyber Essentials is a UK created, government-body led certification that is led by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), which is part of Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ). Through Cyber Essentials, UK businesses, charities, schools, universities and local authorities can prove that they have put in place methods to reduce the likelihood of or impact from cyber incidents originating from online activity. The certification sees assessment across five key measures: Access control Firewalls and routers Malware protection Secure configuration Software updates These standard technical controls enable organisations to protect themselves against the most common online security threats. What does Quantavia’s Cyber Essentials Plus certification mean for you? Aside from assurance that your operations partner has taken important steps to ensure it’s protected from online threats, it also means that behind the scenes we have made some changes these past 12 months. In order to improve resilience against cyber threats, Quantavia has invested in more robust infrastructure for our customers to move away from legacy services, and onto newer platorms such as Digital Forms. Any questions? If you have any questions about our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, please feel free to email us .

Beta’s 0.5.0 - Use at your discretion

Here’s what’s new in beta release 0.5.0

Discretion Reports can now be created, managed and reviewed inside the beta The other side of the Reports area in the beta has now been shown some love, with the implementation and improvements to admin-level handling of Discretion Reports. Admins can now manually create reports on behalf of users through the Inspect Crew area, and perform reviewing and evaluation actions through Reports > Discretion. Users will be able to view existing reports, add Ops comments, edit details and mark as reviewed - as well as forward critical reports to the CAA through the contact information available in your HCM account's Notification settings. Taking control of the confidentiality of SMS Reports Submitting SMS reports through the Hub app using our Digital Forms feature now includes the ability for reporters to decide how their report will be handled within our SMS. Reports can be set to one of three confidentiality ratings that will affect how the SMS behaves: Open - The reporter's name will be visible to everybody, including in exported files. Confidential - This will hide the reporter's name in exports and other areas, but be visible to the Safety Team in the SMS. Anonymous - This will completely redact the reporter's name across the system. Export your SMS Report data for external analysis If you'd like to perform some external analysis on the data collected about your SMS' reports, you can now export to three different formats (.csv, .html & .xlsx), determine the filename and set a date range. More control over SMS Corrective Actions When responding to Corrective Actions in Hub, the specified Safety Team now has the ability to respond to any action manually through an additional tab. New notification events and emails for all users If you decide to use these features in the beta, our reconfigured events and notifications systems will create system messages in the Personal Dashboard and Hub as well as sending emails through the same channels as HeliCrewManager. We’ve also fixed: Fixed a problem causing duplicate emails to be sent. Updated the handling and displaying of User avatars. Fixed a known issue from the previous update where large filtered requests could take longer than usual. Updated UI elements across the site to fit more consistent and accessible standards

Beta’s 0.4.0 - Safety is our middle name

Here’s what’s new in beta release 0.4.0

Manage safety with the new SMS' first generation inside your existing account We've been working on a new solution for safety management inside Quantavia's aviation platforms, allowing existing users to take advantage of current and new features and an integrated database of their own users. A major pain point we often find from operations using other systems is the difficulty getting crew members to report on observations and incidents with a subsequent workflow using the beta platform's new area SMS, our mobile app Hub and the beta's Digital Forms area. Update 0.4.0 with the new SMS focuses on delivering a low-friction and complete process for handling reports, with additional features and tweaks being driven by our real-world testers, to build a system that addresses key items for many operations in future updates. Keep on top of occurrence reports with comprehensive and easy-to-learn workflows When reports come in, you can take the occurrence through an easy-to-understand workflow of stages that allow you to track progress of the report, amend details and relationships with risk items and ratings - as well as allowing the safety team to create and assign Corrective Actions to users within the account. Reports can be evaluated, reviewed and followed-up on to establish a full circle for your occurrence reports. Create and maintain a register of your critical risk and control items The SMS' register is used to create and maintain a library of risk items, that contain hazard definitions, exposure ratings, levels of criticality, risk ratings and relationships to control items. These control items are also configurable, allowing you to have a flexible but standardised set of items you can use to triage and categories your safety reporting. Use the complete history of items in the SMS to track changes Within items in the register, a complete history of changes, related actions and events can be found for risk and control items. This allows the safety team to access a record of activity and compare old and new properties. Configure the SMS as a whole to your needs The policy tab allows you to make system-wide changes to logic, default settings and setup items. These options can reflect what risk matrix your organisation uses, which form you'd like to show to users and more to allow flexibility for your operation. This version of the SMS allows for open and unrestricted changes to allow for more robust testing, but will roll into compliance and auditing features going forward. Take advantage of the Digital Forms area to power your safety forms The SMS leverages the power of our existing form builder with a new SMS form type to allow for custom fields, optional additional items and media uploads for even more customisation items with your safety forms that will be available to users through the Hub app. Known issues: When applying a large amount of filter options, the page may take a while to load after refreshing - if you notice this behaviour, please let us know with a bug report using our ticket system . We’ve also fixed: No additional bug fixes with this update. Learn how to use the SMS Gen1 using our guide for new users.

Beta’s 0.3.0 - Diving deeper into Digital Forms

Here’s what’s new in beta release 0.3.0

Create sophisticated prose and collate a variety of images With Gen3, you can now add more detail and variety to instructions messages or explanations, using the Static Text field's new Markdown editor. Adjust weights, formating, lists and more to display accurate information to form-fillers in Hub. As well as this, a new Upload input has been added to the builder, allowing you to collect users' images directly from their mobile device through the Hub app. A huge expansion to form flexibity In the old times, you could only assign one candidate and one check to your training forms - no more! Gen3 allows you to assign complex data tags to form selection items, meaning you can select multiple subsets of checks, multiple candidates and set up required and default combinations of all of these attributes. Go nuts! Don't get tripped up validating a form For several form types we use data tags to make sure critical inputs are computed correctly to achieve the tasks they are assigned, which can get complicated and involved for each input. Now, the editable sections of components that are tagged are limited to the allowed items, making it easier to validate a form with the correct formats. Make sure your forms reach the right audience Before, you could decide who sees a particular form based on only trainer type - we've updated these access controls to allow you more granular filtering to different form layouts. You can now select between Ranks and User Groups as well as Trainer Type and select from your setup within your HCM account - meaning only your allowed subsets will be able to view the form in Hub. Upgrades to updating your inputs We've also made improvements to various aspects of the properties panel when editing inputs in your forms to improve speed and accessibility to more complex settings. Admendments have been made to improve selecting options for certain input types through additional controls to choose categories of data and how to group them within selection inputs, and replaced the rows value in text inputs in favour of a character limit for simplicity. We’ve also fixed: Fixed a problem where you were forced to select and upper and lower bound for multi-select. Migrated the old /forms route to the new /digital-forms in the URL.

Hub’s 1.6.0 - Filling forms was never easier

Here’s what’s new in version 1.6.0

Pick up where you left off Hub now caches partially-filled form reponses within the app so you can make changes to an in-progress submission and come back to it later. We will now remember most reponse values and let you 'Resume Progress" when coming back from another page in Hub or even a different application. Additionally, we'll check whether the form layout and content has been updated since you started, to make sure you won't be submitting an outdated form. Parity with Digital Forms Gen3 This update brings over new quality of life features for the forms inputs, as well as new form types and new components. This includes more verbose text being supported in Hub's form-filling area, clearer selection criteria and restrictions and new functionality supporting media uploads from your mobile device. Currently, Android supports uploading straight from the device camera and from your gallery; whilst iOS users can only select previously saved images with this release. More to do, faster to load & easier to find it With these new features and improved performance across the app with upgrades to our underlying platform, the app now allows for additional control such as form searching and additional visual feedback across the interface. Colours, buttons and alerts galore Forms now inherit more customisation options like colours, required items and selections from their form layouts - meaning its easier to find where you are in a form, what's been completed and be prompted with successful or failed submissions and preventions against accidental submitting. We’ve also fixed: Fixed a problem where selections in a multi-select would deselect themselves in forms. Addressed an iOS-only bug that made the user accept the EULA multiple times.
