Here’s what’s new, what’s changed and what’s fixed in Version 0.4.0.
Manage safety with the new SMS' first generation inside your existing account
We've been working on a new solution for safety management inside Quantavia's aviation platforms, allowing existing users to take advantage of current and new features and an integrated database of their own users. A major pain point we often find from operations using other systems is the difficulty getting crew members to report on observations and incidents with a subsequent workflow using the beta platform's new area SMS, our mobile app Hub and the beta's Digital Forms area.
Update 0.4.0 with the new SMS focuses on delivering a low-friction and complete process for handling reports, with additional features and tweaks being driven by our real-world testers, to build a system that addresses key items for many operations in future updates.
Keep on top of occurrence reports with comprehensive and easy-to-learn workflows
When reports come in, you can take the occurrence through an easy-to-understand workflow of stages that allow you to track progress of the report, amend details and relationships with risk items and ratings - as well as allowing the safety team to create and assign Corrective Actions to users within the account. Reports can be evaluated, reviewed and followed-up on to establish a full circle for your occurrence reports.
Create and maintain a register of your critical risk and control items
The SMS' register is used to create and maintain a library of risk items, that contain hazard definitions, exposure ratings, levels of criticality, risk ratings and relationships to control items. These control items are also configurable, allowing you to have a flexible but standardised set of items you can use to triage and categories your safety reporting.
Use the complete history of items in the SMS to track changes
Within items in the register, a complete history of changes, related actions and events can be found for risk and control items. This allows the safety team to access a record of activity and compare old and new properties.
Configure the SMS as a whole to your needs
The policy tab allows you to make system-wide changes to logic, default settings and setup items. These options can reflect what risk matrix your organisation uses, which form you'd like to show to users and more to allow flexibility for your operation. This version of the SMS allows for open and unrestricted changes to allow for more robust testing, but will roll into compliance and auditing features going forward.
Take advantage of the Digital Forms area to power your safety forms
The SMS leverages the power of our existing form builder with a new SMS form type to allow for custom fields, optional additional items and media uploads for even more customisation items with your safety forms that will be available to users through the Hub app.
